A blend of  Past indefinite & continuous 
(Past Indefinite तथा  continuous का मिलन

 पहचान (Identification): इन Sentences अंत में  ता  रहता था, रहती थी , रहते थे  अथवा ता रहा, टी रही, ते रहे, आदि शब्द लगे  रहते है ये कार्य की   व  जारी  रहना दोनों ही प्रकट करते है|

Active Voice-
      (Affirmative)- Subject+went on/kept on+verb+ing+Object+Object words)
 
 (Negative)- Subject+Didi not/never+go on/keep on/went on/
           kept on+verb+ing+object+object word)

(Interrogative)(No"A"):- Did+Subject+not/never +keep on
                         /went on/ kept on+verb+ing+object+object word ?

(Interrogative) (No"B") W.H Family Member-did+Subject+Not/Never+
                         keep on+verb+ing+object+object word ?

Example-
  (i) बस चलते रही और मैं उसके पीछे डोलता रहा |
       The bus went on moving & I kept on chasing it.

(ii) क्या कल सारे दिन वर्षा होती रही ?
     Did it go on/keep on raining the whole day?
(iii) मेरे नाना आज सुभ घर पर कोई महत्त्वपूर्ण काम नही करते रहे |
      My grand father did not go on doing any important work at home in the morning to day.
